Why I built shippedit (and what happens after launch day)

Product Updates

shippedit.me is a weekly launch directory with a permanent page, dofollow backlink, AEO and speed audits, and AI fix cards. Here's what it does and what it doesn't yet.

Launch day is the easy part

Most launch platforms work the same way. You post, you beg your friends for upvotes, you get a spike for 24 hours, and then your listing sinks into a page nobody visits again.

I think that's backwards. The launch is one day. Your product has to survive the other 364.

So I built shippedit.me. It went live yesterday (6th October, 2026), and this is the first post on the blog, so here's what it is, what it costs, and what it isn't yet.

What shippedit actually is

It's a weekly launch directory for builders. You submit your product, pick a launch week, and it competes on the board with everything else launching that Monday to Sunday. People upvote, the week gets a podium, and a winner.

Fine, that part isn't new. What's different is what you keep afterwards.

A permanent page. Every approved product gets its own page that stays up, not just a spot on this week's board. It's built to be indexable, so it can rank on Google over time.

A dofollow backlink. Free listings get one as long as the shippedit badge stays on your site. Featured listings get one too. We check that the badge is live, so the link isn't a gift to people who just drop a URL and leave.

The part after launch

This is the bit I care about most. Once your product is listed, shippedit.me keeps looking at it.

  • Automated scans of your page speed (mobile and desktop Lighthouse scores), security and Safe Browsing status, and AI-readiness.

  • An AEO audit. It gives you a 0-100 score for how visible your product is to assistants like ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity. More people now ask an AI what tool to use instead of Googling it, and most sites aren't set up for that.

  • AI fix cards. When an audit fails, you don't just get a red mark. You get what's wrong, why it matters, and a prompt you can paste straight into Cursor or Claude Code.

  • Analytics. Impressions, clicks, CTR and conversions on your page, plus a digest every Monday on how your launch did.

  • Competitor monitoring (Pro). Point it at up to three competitor pages and get alerts when they change.

I launched shippedit.me to give my old dailyoutbid.lol a long life. Let me be clear, if you're from X, you may have heard of outbid.lol made by Jonathan which created a huge hype on X, someone paid $17k+ to bid their website on outbid.lol to stay on top.

So, I cloned that, launched the daily version of that, made a few bucks, but... that trend died, so, I pivoted to making something that would give long term value to solo founders and their products to keep growing. That's why I launched shippedit.me

What it costs

  • Free: $0. Permanent page, weekly launch, dofollow backlink with the badge, speed and AEO audits, scans twice a month, one AI fix per product per day, two launches total.

  • Pro: $9/mo during the early founders offer (it goes to $29/mo after). Weekly scans, 10 AI fixes per product per day, competitor monitoring, PDF reports, five launches.

  • Featured launch: $9 one-time for a badge and priority placement in your launch week.

  • There are also sidebar ad slots ($25/week) and a homepage hero spot you bid for.

The honest part

It's day one. The board is small, the audience is small, and I'm not going to tell you thousands of people will see your launch this week. What I can say is that the page, the audits and the backlink work from the moment you list, whether anyone upvotes you or not.

If you'd rather wait until it's bigger, that's fair. But the early boards are also the easiest ones to win.

One housekeeping note: shippedit is family-friendly, so no adult content, gambling, crypto, alcohol or interest-based lending. Regular tools and SaaS are very welcome.

Launch yours

  1. Go to shippedit.me/submit and add your product.

  2. Add the badge to your site so the dofollow link stays active.

  3. Pick a launch week and share your page.

  4. Check your AEO score and fix cards after the first scan. That's where the real work starts.

If something's broken or missing, tell me. I'm reachable at nowshad@shippedit.me or @shippedit_me on X, and early feedback is what's going to shape this thing.

Go ship it.
